Education: B.A. in History, East Carolina University; M.A. in History, Appalachian State University

When Peter began working at NGFS in 2010 teaching history, he knew this was a special community to be a part of. Six years later he still feels that way and says, "It is a privilege to work in such an open and unique community. I can't imagine teaching anywhere else."

Peter also values his relationships with fellow co-workers and the student-focused environment at NGFS. This year, he is excited to teach a new course: Senior History Seminar. This course gives Peter the opportunity to try out fresh ideas in the classroom and build a new curriculum for the School.

In his spare time Peter enjoys traveling, going on adventures, and riding his motorcycle. Peter and his wife, Sarah, welcomed a son, Malcolm in 2017, and have a Welsh Corgi named Laila.
