Upper School English Teacher

Years at NGFS: first year

Education: B.A. in English, Arkansas State University; M.F.A. in poetry, Louisiana State University.

Chris comes to NGFS after teaching at an independent school in New Orleans for the past six years. He is also an author and has had eight books of poetry published.

Chris was first drawn to NGFS by the school’s mission statement. He says, “The values communicated at NGFS are completely aligned with my own.”

Chris is looking forward to getting to know, and learn with, the students this school year.

Chris and his wife Sarah have one daughter Finn (age 4) who is in A Child’s Garden.
