Beth, a first and second grade teacher, has a passion for her work that is best be illustrated by her own words. When asked what she is excited for in the new school year, she said, “Each and every unit reveal in Rainbow is a moment of magic! There's nothing like a late night working with my team to set up the classroom followed by the excitement of our kids entering the next morning.” However, unit reveals are not the only thing that Beth loves about NGFS. She also enjoys “working with a team to meet each child where he or she is and help them to grow, not only academically, but also socially, spiritually and emotionally.”

Beth has a significant amount of experience in education. She has been an elementary school teacher in Montgomery County, Anne Arundel County, and Frederick County Public Schools in Maryland.

Beth has worked to instill the importance of service in her students by partnering with the Interactive Resource Center, an organization that works with those who are experiencing homelessness in Greensboro. In May 2017, Beth was honored to to receive the Guilford County 2017 Governor’s Volunteer Service Award for her work with the IRC. She plans to continue her work this year by collecting items for the IRC day center and making cards with her students.

Beth is married to Tony and together they have two sons, Noah and Owen, who attend NGFS, and a dog, Rascal. Beth likes reading, travelling with family to Disney, and doing crafts with her children.
